Banking and Finance
Our dedicated banking team provides expert legal advice to a wide range of domestic and international banks, mezzanine providers and other lenders, sponsors, originators, Issuers and corporates on all aspects of banking and finance law as well as on bond issues, regulatory capital issues and other aspects of debt capital markets.
We specialise and have substantial experience in complex cross-border banking and debt capital markets transactions, and our team is regularly involved in multijurisdictional finance transactions.
Within public M&A we advise bidders, target companies, major shareholders and financial advisors. Our Equity Capital Markets work includes advising issuers, major shareholders and financial advisors on initial public offerings (IPOs), rights issues, convertible and exchangeable issues, private placements and accelerated book building transactions. We also regularly advise on corporate governance issues, incentive plans, information and insider issues and other securities regulatory matters (including the AIFMD).
Competition, Public Procurement and State Aid
Our competition team provides pragmatic advice and effective representation on all aspects of EU and Danish competition law. We have expertise in advising on the competition and regulatory implications of mergers and acquisitions, as well as the full range of behavioural competition matters (abuse of dominance, cartels and other restrictive agreements). We are experienced in competition litigation before the Danish courts. We also advise on utilities regulation and other EU law matters, such as state aid and public procurement.
Corporate and Commercial
Our lawyers are specialised in commercial agreements and assist our clients with the review, drafting, negotiation and management of contracts, as well as providing strategic advice regarding business operations. The group draws on experience from a wide range of industry sectors and has a strong commercial focus. Our legal expertise includes national and international contract law, the purchase of goods, standard market agreements, sector-specific agreements and issues regarding various forms of distribution (for example, agents and retail distributors).
Compliance with the requirements of data protection legislation has in recent years gained increasing focus and importance for businesses, especially due to increased customer awareness and the expected adoption of a new EU regulation implementing increased requirements to businesses and introducing severe sanctions for non-compliance.
Lundgrens’ data protection team, possessing CIPP/E certified competencies, advices and offers strategic counselling and assistance in all aspects of the complex regulation of collecting, processing and disclosure of personal data.
Lundgrens’ dispute resolution practice represent clients in any and all matters arising from commercial disputes, such as early dispute assessment, arbitration, litigation, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution.

Employment and Labour Law
Lundgrens is a recognised leading law firm within employment and labour law and has many years of experience in assisting international groups, listed companies, small and medium-sized companies, executives, public authorities, organisations and other relevant market players in all employment law matters.
Environment and Administrative Law
Lundgrens' environmental and administrative law team consists of highly specialised legal advisors with extensive knowledge and understanding of the public sector and its legal matters. The environmental and administrative law team advises municipalities, other public authorities, and private and public businesses on all fields of environmental law, and on general administrative law and municipal law issues. The team is highly experienced in handling complaint cases before the Danish Environmental Board of Appeal and the Danish State Administration.
Insolvency and Restructuring
We advise lenders and equity investors at all levels of the capital structure as well as companies in financial difficulties, board members and shareholders of such companies, trustees in bankruptcy, liquidators and government institutions. The insolvency and restructuring group work closely with the firm’s other specialists in related practice areas including Banking and Finance, Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Employment and labour law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate, and Tax.
Insurance and Damages
Lundgrens advises Danish and international companies, including insurance companies, on all aspects of insurance and damages. We specialise in litigation, arbitration and cases before the Danish Accountants' Disciplinary Board. In addition, we provide claims handling for Danish insurance companies. Our insurance and damages law group is a strong team of attorneys with extensive experience from the legal profession, insurance companies and the public sector.
Intellectual Property (IP)
Lundgrens’ experienced and dedicated IP team advises on all IP and Life Science matters. We act for both Danish and international clients assisting on (i) establishment and maintenance of portfolios of IP rights, (ii) negotiation and preparation of all types of IP contracts, such as assignment agreements, licence agreements and research and development agreements, (iii) strategic IP projects, such as planning and implementing IP risk management procedures, and (iv) handling of all types of conflicts pertaining to IP or rules on marketing practices and regulatory rules.
